It gives me great joy to bring you warm greetings on behalf of the women of Alpha Gamma Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Welcome to our chapter’s website, where you will learn more about our chapter's intentional service and sisterhood focus. We are honored to execute service initiatives throughout our footprint. This chapter was established to serve the city of Durham, North Carolina and the Research Triangle Park area.

Welcome to Alpha Gamma Nu Omega

The Alpha Gamma Nu Omega Chapter was chartered on December 12, 2024, by twenty-nine tenacious women who captured a vision fair with a collective standard of excellence without excuse.

There is no greater time to enhance the presence of our great Sorority than now. Our growing communities need us, and we are passionate about providing resources and support as a sisterhood of faith. We embrace the International 2022-2026 vision outlined by our International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood through fostering initiatives to Empower Our Families, Build Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift Our Local Communities.

I have the esteemed honor of serving as the chartering President of this chapter of trailblazing stakeholders who are committed to “Soar!” We are eager to give our time, talents and treasures for the perpetuity of our brand while maintaining the legacy of our sorority’s merit and culture. We are pleased to offer a sisterly space that is inviting, inclusive, invigorating and igniting.
